With Rasmus Stute, the classification society is strengthening its business development activities on the German domestic market. "I am very pleased to welcome Rasmus to our team. He is a great asset," says Jörg Langkabel, Area Manager Germany, DNV GL - Maritime. "As the former Director of the Hamburg Containership Excellence Center (CEC), he has the technical know-how and a clear understanding of the complex challenges facing the German shipping industry." Rasmus Stute will lead the local Key Account Manager team for Germany from the maritime headquarters in Hamburg.

"Today, a direct and personal exchange between customers and technical experts is more important than ever," says Rasmus Stute, Area Business Development Manager Germany. "Be it on the topic of digitalization or new regulations to achieve the ambitious climate targets. Around 600 maritime experts work in our Hamburg office and all of them want to support our customers in mastering the current challenges. Our doors are wide open and we invite our customers to take advantage of our close proximity."

DNV GL has just opened a new "Operational Center" in Hamburg. All the important departments are combined on one floor. Customers are greeted in a Welcome Center and can walk through the individual stations, starting with New Building Approval and continuing through Operations to the HAZMAT departments. The DATE and TSM Centers are also "open" and customers can meet technical experts and surveyors in person.
