PwC Germany's Maritime Competence Center under new management

The auditing and consulting firm PwC has appointed a new Head of the Maritime Competence Center in Hamburg for the new financial year: Dr. André Wortmann follows in the footsteps of Claus Brandt, who left the company on June 30, 2020 when he reached the age limit for partners.

André Wortmann is an Advisory Partner at the Hamburg office and heads the Restructuring practice for the Northern Germany region. He has been with PwC since 2008 and was appointed Partner in 2013. The 49-year-old economist has more than 18 years of experience in advising companies and investors on restructuring and refinancing. His industry focus is on the transportation and logistics sector, which also includes the maritime industry. At PwC Europe level, he coordinates the deals business for the transportation & logistics industry.

Wortmann has been supporting the maritime industry since 2008 and has implemented projects in all segments of the industry as a project manager and later as a responsible partner. He not only brings experience from national projects, but also from various other countries such as Greece, Turkey and Cyprus.
