New boss for the shipyard
Philipp Maracke takes the helm at FSG
On November 2, Philipp Maracke takes over the management of Flensburger Schiffbau-Gesellschaft (FSG).
This means that the management of the shipyard acquired by Tennor will be passed on to an expert with experience from various management positions in the maritime industry, who was most recently a member of the management board of German Naval Yards Kiel. There, the 40-year-old built up extensive expertise in the field of naval vessels, and purchasing is also one of his core competencies.
"Over the course of its long history, FSG has repeatedly proven itself to be a pioneer in innovative shipbuilding and therefore has a great deal of technical expertise," says the new Managing Director about FSG. "I want to build on this foundation and create something new together with the strong, motivated team." An important first step will be to analyze the types of ships with which the shipyard can operate successfully on the market.
"We are delighted to have found a competent expert for FSG in Philipp Maracke, who is very well connected in the industry. This is an important building block for shaping the future of the shipyard," adds Stefan Kindler, CEO of Tennor Holding.
