New CFO for Hamburg Süd
Lasse Carøe Henningsen is to become the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Hamburg Süd. He succeeds the current Chief Financial Officer Jakob Wegge-Larsen, who will return to Maersk in Copenhagen at the end of June. Lasse Carøe Henningsen will start at Hamburg Süd on June 1 and will be responsible for Business Finance and Accounting as well as the important SAP project. Together with Chief Executive Officer Dr. Arnt Vespermann, he will form the Management Board of Hamburg Süd.
Henningsen is a proven financial expert who has spent many years of his career working for the consulting and auditing firms EY and PwC as well as the listed jewelry and design company Pandora A/S. He also has extensive experience in the shipping industry. He previously worked as Head of Accounting & Control at Maersk Tankers A/S and has currently been working as CFO and member of the board at Christiania Shipping A/S, a Copenhagen-based shipping company specializing in the transport of chemicals, since 2018.
"We are delighted that Lasse Carøe Henningsen, a proven expert, is coming on board as Jakob Wegge-Larsen's successor. With his financial and shipping expertise as well as his extensive management experience, he will drive forward important projects for Hamburg Süd," says Dr. Arnt Vespermann. These include the introduction of the latest SAP version S4/HANA. Once the current implementation has been completed, Hamburg Süd will be one of the first liner shipping companies in the world to use SAP S4/HANA in its day-to-day business.
