Lampe & Schwartze: Tobias Braun new member of the management board
Tobias Braun (43) will become a new member of the Management Board of Lampe & Schwartze KG with effect from November 1 and will then manage the Marine Underwriting division together with H.-Christoph Enge.
In particular, Braun will be responsible for further expanding Marine Underwriting's position in the international marine insurance market. He will also continue to drive forward the requirements placed on a modern Managing General Agent (MGA) through innovative developments.
"I am excited about my new role and the fascinating opportunities to help shape the current transformation of our industry as part of a traditional and successful group of companies. I am particularly looking forward to my new colleagues and working together with our customers and partners, who entrust their business to the Lampe & Schwartze Group on a daily basis," says Tobias Braun.
"With Tobias Braun, we are not only gaining a manager with many years of experience in the maritime industry and marine insurance, but also someone who has led an MGA with a high level of expertise and innovative strength," emphasizes H.-Christoph Enge.
Braun has more than 20 years of professional experience in the shipping industry and the international insurance world. A qualified shipping agent, he studied economics, philosophy and cultural studies before joining Hanseatic Underwriters via the London-based insurer Hiscox. As Managing Director, he oversaw the sale of Hanseatic P&I and the Zeller Associates Group to Thomas Miller (UK). Braun then took over the management of the German Thomas Miller group of companies in Hamburg.
