Daniela Gerd tom Markotten new head of moovel
Stuttgart, 23.10.2017 - Daimler Financial Services announces the appointment of Daniela Gerd tom Markotten as CEO of the moovel Group: On November 1, the industrial engineering graduate will take over the management of the software company. Jörg Lamparter, moovel Group CEO since March 2016, took over the management of all mobility services under the umbrella of Daimler Mobility Services in August: As Head of Mobility Services, he is responsible for the business of car2go, moovel and mytaxi.
Daniela Gerd tom Markotten has been driving forward digital applications at Mercedes-Benz Trucks for the past one and a half years as Head of the "Digital Solutions & Services" division, which also includes FleetBoard GmbH as its nucleus. Daniela Gerd tom Markotten has experience in the field of IT-supported vehicle telematics. She studied industrial engineering at the University of Karlsruhe and spent time abroad in Costa Rica and China. In 2003, she completed her doctorate at the Albert-Ludwigs-University of Freiburg on "Usable IT Security". She then joined the former DaimlerChrysler AG via the international junior research group. From 2005, she held various team leader positions in the logistics IT department of the former DaimlerChrysler AG. In 2009, she took over the management of the IT department "Parts Wholesale International" and subsequently the "IT Center of Competence Marketing". From the end of 2014, Daniela Gerd tom Markotten was responsible for the Truck Order Center, CharterWay International and FleetBoard as divisional manager for Mercedes-Benz Truck Sales.

moovel Group acts as a partner to cities and transport associations
moovel creates an operating system for urban mobility that offers access to various mobility services - including booking and payment. The free app for iOS and Android combines local public transport services as well as car2go, mytaxi, rental bikes and Deutsche Bahn. Most offers can be booked and paid for directly in the app. In Germany and the USA, 3.4 million people use the moovel app and moovel transit products. With the moovel transit product portfolio, the moovel Group offers white label solutions for transport associations and companies worldwide and is the market leader in the USA. Since May 2017, the white label application has been used for the first time in Germany by the Karlsruhe transport association. In the first nine months of the current year, more than 16 million transactions were made via moovel products.
