Successor to Alexander Tonn
Dachser appoints Andreas Fritsch as Managing Director European Logistics Germany
As Managing Director European Logistics Germany, Andreas Fritsch will lead and further expand Dachser's German business in the transportation and warehousing of industrial goods from January 1.
The General Manager (Branch Manager) of the Ostwestfalen-Lippe logistics center in Bad Salzuflen near Bielefeld will take over this area of responsibility from COO Road Logistics Alexander Tonn. Tonn has headed the German business unit of the European Logistics business line since 2017, and has held this position since his appointment to the Dachser Executive Board at the beginning of 2021.
As General Manager, Andreas Fritsch (60) can look back on an exemplary career at Dachser, spanning more than four decades and almost all career levels. After completing his vocational training as a forwarding agent and taking his first career steps, the Frankfurt native moved to Bielefeld as branch manager in 1989. Since then, he has developed the location into one of the largest and most successful in the European Dachser network. In recent years, Fritsch has also managed the development of the branch in Kassel, which has completed Dachser's European Logistics network in Germany since 2021. For more than ten years, he has represented the interests of the decentralized operating units vis-à-vis the Dachser Executive Board as spokesman for the branch managers.
As Managing Director European Logistics Germany, Andreas Fritsch will continue the long-standing, valuable growth of the European Logistics business line on the German market and at the same time anchor and drive forward key topics such as digitalization, climate protection and the recruitment of skilled workers in the business unit.
In his new position, Andreas Fritsch will report to COO Road Logistics, Alexander Tonn. Dachser's 40 European Logistics branches in Germany moved around 30.7 million shipments weighing 15.0 million tons in 2021.
