Change in the management of Weserport
Rudolf Egbert was appointed to the management board of Bremen-based seaport service provider Weserport at the beginning of April. Most recently, the 52-year-old was Managing Director at ArcelorMittal Commercial Germany.
Egbert succeeds Glenn Kneipp, who resigned as Managing Director of Weserport as planned and returned to ArcelorMittal Bremen. He will assume responsibility for operational processes in the port, while Heiner Delicat will be responsible for sales, finance and marketing within the Weserport management team. "As a trained computer scientist, Rudolf Egbert is a specialist in the field of digitalization, which is of greater concern to us today than ever before. In addition, he not only has many years of entrepreneurial management experience, but also knows the challenges of our Bremen port location inside out," explained Weserport Managing Director Heiner Delicat. Egbert worked for many years at the steel group ArcelorMittal in various positions and gained management experience there.
