BVL honors Professor Michael Schenk
Magdeburg, 27.06.2018 - Professor Michael Schenk was bid farewell from the BVL's committee work with many thanks. Schenk spent more than 20 years as a volunteer on the committees of the German Logistics Association. He has been awarded the Golden Badge of Honor and is an honorary member of the Logistics Competence and Knowledge Network.
In his laudatory speech, Professor Thomas Wimmer, Chairman of the BVL Management Board, emphasized the special merits of the award:
"Prof. Michael Schenk has made a significant contribution to the promotion of young scientists, to research funding and to the establishment of a regular, independent BVL scientific event."
Prof. Michael Schenk, Director of the Fraunhofer Institute for Factory Operation and Automation IFF in Magdeburg and Managing Director of the Institute for Logistics and Material Flow Technology at the University of Magdeburg, has made his mark on the BVL from the late 1990s to the present day. He was a member of the board for over ten years.
