Arla Foods appoints new global head of supply chain
The European dairy cooperative Arla Foods amba appoints David Boulanger as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Supply Chain Officer.
He joins from Danone, where he is currently Senior Vice President Operations for Danone Specialized Nutrition. At Arla Foods, he will be responsible for the global supply chain organization. This area covers all production, logistics and procurement and spans organizational units in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, North America, China and South East Asia.
Frenchman David Boulanger has spent his entire career in the food industry and is an internationally experienced manager. He initially worked for Masterfoods before spending 17 years with the French multinational Danone, where he held a number of management positions in the supply chain.

David Boulanger starts at Arla Foods on October 1. He lives in the Netherlands with his wife and three children and has an engineering degree from the Ingénier Civil des Mines de ParisTech. His predecessor at Arla Foods, Sami Naffakh, recently moved to Reckitt Benckiser.
