JadeWeserPort adjusts port fees

The port usage fees at JadeWeserPort Wilhelmshaven will be increased by 5 percent with effect from January 1, 2023. This adjustment was decided by the Supervisory Board of JadeWeserPort-Realisierungs GmbH & Co KG at its most recent meeting.

"Compared to the development of the consumer price index (CPI) in the energy sector, materials procurement and the construction sector, this increase is moderate. The cost increases in these segments are immense. However, due to the equally increased cost pressure in the port industry, we have refrained from a higher tariff increase that was actually necessary," explains Holger Banik, Managing Director of JadeWeserPort-Realisierungs GmbH & Co KG and Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co KG.

In the past three years, port usage fees have not been increased due to the crisis and with a view to customers. Compared to the traditional ports, the fees at the Jade location are still at a low level.
