Rhenus expands in Eisenach

Rhenus Warehousing Solutions is looking for 80 new employees for its logistics center in Eisenach from autumn 2020. After investing millions in a new order picking system, a long-term contract has been signed with the Otto Group in Eisenach.

The contract covers all logistics services for the Lascana brand and its lingerie, swimwear and beachwear products. To improve the storage and picking of goods, an automated system was set up in a pilot project to speed up and simplify the picking process. The employees no longer have to remove the fashion items from the shelves and therefore have significantly shorter walking distances.

"In recent years, we have repeatedly invested heavily in the Eisenach site. In 2018, two more large halls were built, and now the innovative order picking system. This means that we are ideally equipped for the upcoming tasks for the Otto Group," says Dr. Kerstin Stegner, Regional Manager Central at Rhenus Contract Logistics.

"What we still need now are committed new employees to support us with our orders. We are particularly looking forward to receiving applicants from the region," adds Operations Manager Jennifer Thomas. "Our site is characterized by a very low fluctuation rate. Certainly also because our employees benefit from many company benefits such as health courses, partnerships with gyms and bonuses."
