duisport increases container throughput by 12% in the first half of the year
Duisburg, 26.07.2017 - Container throughput at Duisburger Hafen AG (duisport) increased by 12% year-on-year to 2.01 million TEU in the first half of 2017.
Container handling accounts for around half of total goods handling and is the duisport Group's most important goods segment. Total goods throughput increased by 7% to 34.8 million tons in the first half of the year. While ship handling reached the previous year's level, rail handling increased by 14% and truck handling by 7%.
