Cargo bikes in city logistics
Efficient over the last mile
City logistics presents suppliers with numerous challenges, including environmental zones, narrow streets, traffic chaos and the rapid growth in e-commerce. With its solution for city logistics, the Rytle Cargo Bikes, Rytle aims to provide an efficient, environmentally friendly, punctual and stress-free service for the so-called last mile.
The concept: HUBs, cargo bikes, matching boxes and software
The electrically powered Rytle Cargo Bikes are already on the road in numerous German cities and abroad. Founded two years ago, the joint venture has developed an innovative system for the last mile: Self-sufficient mobile depots (HUB), electrically powered cargo bikes with an interchangeable function for standardized transport boxes and a suitable software platform that networks all participants in real time.
The ability to deliver goods quickly, without emissions and with less stress has already convinced parcel service providers and courier services such as Citipost and Hermes, who are already using the MovR in some cities. The MovR can be ridden without a driving license - it is also approved as a pedelec 25.
Better traffic flow with the right motor
The CargoPower RN 111 wheel hub motor is designed to help the rider integrate the cargo bike optimally into traffic situations. This motor, developed in collaboration with Heinzmann, currently has the most powerful torque of all current bicycle and cargo bike motor models, with up to 115 NM peak torque," says Peter Mérimèche, Managing Director of Electric Drives at Heinzmann. With the CargoPower RN 111, the drive energy is generated directly at the wheel. This means that the driver can get to the destination faster than some cars and can flow even better in existing traffic.
