Modern lighting systems measurably promote efficiency, which goes hand in hand with significant savings in operating costs in large production and logistics halls. By improving the lighting situation in the halls, new lighting systems also help to increase productivity. If the energy-efficient LED luminaires are deliberately controlled across the entire area using control and sensor technology, additional efficiency potential can be exploited. Day or presence-controlled lighting levels achieve direct electricity savings because only as much light is provided as is actually needed.

Light 4.0 - when light communicates
Modern technology can offer more than just light. Direct communication between sensors and luminaires makes it possible to implement intelligent systems that can achieve energy savings of up to 90 percent and a significant reduction in carbon dioxide. For example, a digital lighting control system reacts to the flow and time of movement of people and immediately adjusts the lighting to current situations. If the sensors detect activity in a zone, the lighting level is increased to a predefined sensible value. During rest periods, a general basic lighting situation with a minimum level of brightness is established.

In addition, lighting control systems can read out valuable data that can also be fed into a central system. Records of actual power consumption in a zone can be used for analysis purposes. According to the manufacturer, the effort required for programming and commissioning the lighting control system used by Molto Luce is manageable. Both control and subsequent adjustment of the system are simple and can be operated via a smart device.

Lighting supports work processes
What does it take for employees to work optimally in large storage areas? Sufficient light over the entire length and height of the shelves is necessary so that items can be loaded and removed quickly and without errors. Vertical illuminance is particularly important. This is a particularly sensitive factor in high-bay warehouses. Due to the enormous shelf heights and narrow aisles, high demands are placed on the lighting and the correct light control. Molto Luce offers a solution that delivers perfect results while reducing the number of luminaires or increasing the luminaire spacing.

In principle, the same applies to warehouses and production halls: All work processes are noticeably supported by good illumination of shelves, work areas and paths and accidents are significantly reduced. Where there is good lighting, employees tire less, are more concentrated and make fewer mistakes. The emotional quality of good hall lighting has a positive effect, as it influences the well-being and motivation of employees and thus reduces absenteeism.

Flexible adaptation possible
The lighting of large halls in production and logistics often incurs high initial costs as well as ongoing costs. Many systems on the market do not support subsequent adaptations to the lighting system, which can prove problematic and inefficient when processes are reorganized or conditions change.

The LED continuous-row lighting system from Molto Luce offers a solution for this and, according to the company, is designed for flexibility. According to the manufacturer, the system is also easy to install. The lighting system can be individually designed using a trunking system. Suitable system components such as linear light inserts, sensors or emergency lights are available in different versions and can be combined with the track. In addition, the trunking system can be usefully supplemented with high-bay or damp-proof luminaires to create a complete solution. Molto Luce offers this flexibility, which is particularly in demand in industry and commerce, under the slogan "Ready to Customize".

Permanently low maintenance costs can be achieved by completely replacing an old lighting system. This is because it is not only the higher operating costs, but also the high maintenance costs due to short maintenance cycles and increased failure of old luminaires that have a particular impact on the budget, especially in large halls. Converting to a new, efficient lighting system can therefore quickly pay for itself.
