Groundbreaking ceremony for new logistics building in Sulzemoos

The ground-breaking ceremony on November 10 was the starting signal for the construction of two logistics buildings in the Sulzemoos industrial estate. The floor space of the planned new logistics building covers 22,000 square meters. In terms of size, this corresponds to almost three soccer pitches. The new building will be constructed on a plot of 42,000 square meters. The Dachau-based company intaurus is responsible for the project development.

Logistics construction
The new logistics building is due to go into operation in July 2017. This will create around 200 jobs in the Sulzemoos industrial estate.

"We are delighted to have found a very attractive location for our project here in Sulzemoos. Located directly on the A8 Munich-Stuttgart, with excellent connections to the A99, the B2 and the B471 as well as half an hour's drive to Munich airport and train station: this is equally interesting for our tenants and for the employees on site," explains Hans-Wolfgang Niedermair, Managing Director of intaurus. The first mayor of Sulzemoos, Gerhard Hainzinger, comments on the decision in favor of intaurus: "With intaurus, we have opted for an investor based in the region who works with local companies. At the same time, the new jobs here on the industrial estate were decisive for us.

The new logistics building will go into operation in July 2017. It will accommodate around 200 workstations. In addition to high-quality logistics activities, the building also offers commercial employees modern workspaces in bright offices. The new building is characterized by its energy-efficient construction and a modern heating system. "This allows us to offer our tenants attractive ancillary costs - and at the same time we are doing something for the environment," says Guido Breuer, Head of Project Development at intaurus. Specifically, the halls are heated with gas dark radiators. Direct control of the radiators quickly ensures pleasant temperatures in the work areas. An air heat pump supplies the underfloor heating in the offices with energy. Daylight strips in the ceiling allow a large amount of daylight into the halls, thus saving electricity and creating a friendly working atmosphere. The walls and ceilings are insulated to a high standard. A photovoltaic system is planned for the roof. In addition, energy-saving LED lighting will be used throughout the halls and offices.

New logistics building already operating at 85 percent capacity

The attractive location and the modern, multifunctional design of the property have already led to inquiries from interested parties in the run-up to planning. "Our property is already 85 percent occupied. We assume that we will find a user for the remaining vacant rental unit of around 2,400 square meters by the time it is completed," comments Hans-Wolfgang Niedermair.
