Fuel cell technology
Innovative energy for airport logistics
Industrial trucks with fuel cell drive are quick to refuel and emission-free. At the leading international trade fair for airport equipment, inter Airport Europe 2019, Linde Material Handling is expanding its portfolio of fuel cell trucks to include the Linde P250 tow tractor with 25 tons of towing capacity.
Electric tugs play an important role in cargo handling at airports: they bring baggage or freight to the airport apron and supply the stores in the terminal with supplies. Emission-free in use, they also have a high towing capacity and are very maneuverable due to their dimensions.
In addition to numerous safety solutions and assistance systems, Linde Material Handling will also be showcasing the company's range of tow tractors at the inter Airport Europe trade fair. A special highlight of the trade fair appearance: the new, hydrogen-powered version of the Linde P250 tug model.
Short refueling times of just a few minutes ensure high availability, especially in multi-shift operations, and handling at the hydrogen dispenser is also safe and clean. Further advantages of the technology are the low prices for hydrogen, independence from electricity load peaks and the long service life of fuel cells. Subsidy programs can also increase the financial attractiveness.
