"With the new ESR 1000 series, Crown has brought a truck onto the market that our operators really appreciate thanks to its many innovative features, such as the automatic lift height preselection, the residual capacity indicator and the completely new, intuitive Gena operating experience. Faster working at height
The ESR 1000 series offers new, optional functions designed to enable the operator to work precisely at any height without sacrificing productivity: The new optional Xpress Lower function promotes faster working at height. According to the company, the technology doubles the mast lowering speed to 1.1 m/s, which is unique on the market, and should therefore enable up to 21% more productivity. In addition, the lowering function is regenerative; energy is fed back to the battery when the mast is lowered, which increases the operating time. In conjunction with the e-GEN regenerative braking system, this can lead to energy savings of up to eleven percent.

Automated positioning
In the ESR 1000 series, Auto Height Select and the Capacity Data Monitor work together.
The optional Auto Height Select function increases precision. Thanks to this automated lift height preselection, operators bring the forks to a pre-programmed shelf height. Automated positioning helps to prevent damage to products, racking and vehicles while also increasing handling performance. Different rack heights can be easily programmed for different storage zones. When the forks are lifted, the display shows the current shelf level and signals when the desired height has been reached.

Another useful option is the Capacity Data Monitor, which shows the load weight, lifting height and residual capacity at a glance to ensure that operators stay within the safety limits with the load.

New operating system
Tilt Position Assist, another optional feature, compensates for the deflection of the mast and fork carriage and automatically aligns the forks parallel to the floor for more precise positioning. For a clear view close to the rack and pallet, optional cameras can also be fitted to the forks and mast to further optimize load pick-up and positioning.
With the new ESR 1000 series comes the new Gena operating system Operators, service and safety managers as well as warehouse managers also benefit from the future-oriented Gena operating system, which Crown has newly developed and integrated into the new ESR series for the first time. Gena is intuitive, customizable, interactive and offers a completely new user experience. It provides all important data or information clearly and concisely in more than 25 selectable languages on a 7-inch color touchscreen. In addition to their preferred language, the operator can also choose from a constantly growing number of widgets. These display all important truck functions such as speed, operating hours, steering angle and battery charge status. To call them up one after the other or set favorites, the operator simply swipes their finger across the display, just like on their smartphone. The operating system optimizes truck performance and ensures that important information is easy to see, understand and use. This allows operators to increase their handling performance thanks to Gena.

Fault diagnostics made easier
In conjunction with the integrated InfoLink fleet management system, the system makes advanced fault diagnostics easier for service technicians, including step-by-step troubleshooting, setup and calibration. In addition to reliable management data, the combination offers interactive and illustrated checklists and safety instructions. Thanks to WiFi connectivity, the ESR reach trucks are networked and help warehouse managers, service and safety managers to comply with legal requirements and to monitor and manage collisions and productivity.

Ergonomically adjustable
The seat, controls, armrest and screen can be ergonomically adjusted to provide the optimum position for operation, visibility and workflow. In addition, the laterally
Crown's laterally offset free-view mast ensures a clear view of the load wheels, forks and pallet. The optional panoramic overhead guard also improves the view upwards and provides reliable protection against falling objects. The proven system for optimized cornering speeds and the patented OnTrac traction control, which prevents the wheels from spinning or slipping during acceleration, deceleration and braking, are also standard on all models.

Three model variants
The new reach truck family from Crown includes the ESR 1020 with a narrow chassis, a maximum lift height of 9090 mm, a top speed of 10 km/h and load capacities of 1.4 or 1.6 tons. Thanks to its narrow overall width of 1120 mm, the ESR 1020 is particularly suitable for tight spaces, drive-in racking, block storage and rack aisles just 2.5 meters wide. The ESR 1040 model with a standard overall width of 1285 mm is the value solution without compromising on durability or ease of use. Its maximum lifting height is 9450 mm, the load capacities are 1.4 or 1.6 tons and the maximum speed is 10 km/h. The ESR 1060 is designed for intensive use with heavy loads and greater lifting heights of up to 13,560 mm and has load capacities of 1.4 or 1.6 or 2.0 tons.
