Counterbalance trucks from Linde now with lithium-ion technology
The availability of transport vehicles is crucial in logistics and has a direct impact on the efficiency of processes. The energy system plays a key role, especially for electrically powered industrial trucks: alternative systems promise fast charging or refueling and better energy efficiency. Linde currently offers pallet trucks, order pickers and tow tractors with lithium-ion batteries. At the World of Material Handling, the manufacturer Linde presented counterbalance trucks for payloads of 1.4 to 1.8 tons, which are equipped with the innovative technology. For the higher tonnages, Linde has developed a further size with a nominal voltage of 48 volts in addition to the 24-volt batteries already on offer. Depending on the application, the operator can choose between two battery sizes and two different chargers with 9 or 18 kW output. In addition, a double-deck loader and a high-lift truck with lithium-ion technology will be available in the foreseeable future. When developing the lithium-ion devices, Linde placed great emphasis on the system integration of vehicle, battery system and charger to ensure efficiency and safety.
