Compact stackers from Hyster

Hyster Europe is adding new, particularly manoeuvrable and space-saving stackers to its Fortens series, which can lift up to eight tons. At the same time, the trucks in the entire H6.0-8.0FT range will be retrofitted with double and triple lift masts.

Several revised diesel engines are also available for the forklifts. The new space-saving H7.0FTS and H7.0FTS9 models can lift up to seven tons with a load centre of 600 and 900 mm respectively. The new Hyster Fortens H8.0FTS forklift truck has a lifting capacity of eight tons with a load centre of 600 mm. "Due to a higher counterweight, the three new model variants have high stability and the same load capacity as standard trucks - although they are up to 327 mm shorter," explains Veronica Grasso, Product Manager at Hyster Europe. "The compact stackers can therefore be optimally maneuvered even in confined spaces."

Turning assistance system as standard
The new trucks are equipped with a turning assistance system as standard. This mechanism locks the drive wheel at the full steering angle and thus enables a minimum turning radius. This leaves up to 528 mm more space in the work aisle. For companies that want to save even more space, the trucks are optionally available with a single drive wheel and narrow fork carriage. In addition, different transmissions and control elements for the hydraulics are available for all models to adapt them to the respective area of application. Furthermore, the new compact trucks are equipped with a rear-view mirror as standard. A rear view camera with LCD display mounted on the counterweight is also available as an option.

New double and triple masts
"The combination of camera and display provides good visibility when reversing," assures Grasso. "But to improve visibility overall, the entire H6.0-8.0FT product range has been retrofitted with double and triple masts." The new masts have a higher and wider viewing window. In addition, the cylinders have been positioned to the side so that drivers can see the forks and load better. Lifting heights of up to 6,565 mm are possible with the new masts.
