Interroll presents new high-performance sorter

With the market launch of the new High-Performance Crossbelt Sorter MX 025H, Interroll is expanding its portfolio of automatic sorting solutions with a new high-performance system that can process up to 20,000 conveyed goods per hour. With this new solution, significantly heavier and larger goods can be sorted.

The new high-performance crossbelt sorter MX 025H offers an increased conveying speed of 2.5 m/s compared to 1.8 m/s for the Crossbelt Sorter ST 6160, which is still available. At the same time, the MX 025H is capable of transporting goods weighing up to 50 kilograms, and the width of the carriers has also been increased by 50 percent.

According to the manufacturer, maintenance of the HPCS is very simple and cost-effective. The drive chain has been replaced by a rubber block chain, which can be replaced quickly if necessary. However, extensive tests have shown that this will not be necessary for many years, even with 24/7 operation. The carriers can also be replaced much more quickly and wearing parts are less expensive. All this contributes to significantly lower maintenance costs - around 50% less than with a conventional crossbelt sorter.

Thanks to the mechanical drive concept, the sorter operates quietly (below 67 dB(A)) even at the highest throughput rates. In addition to extensive load and endurance tests at the in-house test center, the new sorter has already been in use at selected customers for almost a year.

"With our entry into absolute high-performance sorting, system integrators can now offer users an innovative and proven technology," explains Jens Strüwing, Executive Vice President and Head of Products & Technology at Interroll. "Thanks to our unique mechanical drive concept, an increasing number and variety of goods can be processed as required - with maximum reliability and economic advantages that are unparalleled on the global market."

Today, more than 400 Interroll sorters are already in use worldwide at industry leaders such as Amazon, DHL, FedEx, UPS, Hugo Boss, Inditex (ZARA), Zalando, Swiss Post, Austrian Post and China Post. Unlike competitor products, the number of electronic components in these sorters has been kept as low as possible by design.
