Friction-based overhead conveyors from OCS

OCS relies on friction - a patented technology for an oil-free, low-noise and flexible conveying solution.

The OCS 150 and OCS 500 are two overhead conveyor systems at LogiMAT that are used in different industries and sectors - automotive including electromobility, aviation, surface technology as well as bicycle and e-bike manufacturers. The drive mechanism consists of a friction belt in the OCS 150 and a rotating aluminum tube in the OCS 500, both driven by a geared motor. The OCS 150 trolleys are equipped with a friction driver that is pressed against the drive belt using spring force. This transfers the force to the friction driver and moves the trolley forward. On the OCS 500, the trolley has four inclined wheels, which are also pressed against a rotating aluminum tube using spring force. In this way, the rotational force is transferred to the inclined wheels and the trolley is moved.
