Beumer Group supplies conveyor technology to Lafarge Zementwerke
Lafarge Zementwerke GmbH in Mannersdorf, Austria, has commissioned the Beumer Group to install a conveyor system for alternative fuels and raw materials.
Lafarge Zementwerke GmbH relies on plastic waste as an alternative fuel and raw material for economical and sustainable operations at its Mannersdorf plant in Austria. When the old conveyor system was irreparably damaged following a fire in June 2020, the operator commissioned the Beumer Group to supply a new and more powerful system. The order includes two pipe conveyors to transport the material. The first conveyor has a diameter of 200 millimetres and a length of 87 meters. Its conveying capacity is ten tons per hour. The second pipe conveyor is 192 meters long, has a diameter of 250 millimeters and a conveying capacity of 22 tons per hour. The lifting heights are around 39 meters and the maximum angle of inclination is 15 degrees. There are also three buffer tanks and a dosing scale. In addition to delivery and assembly, the Beumer team is also responsible for engineering and commissioning.
"As a team, we were able to convince those responsible with our solution," says Andrea Prevedello, CEO of Beumer Group Austria, with satisfaction. This is because the proposed design of the two pipe conveyors is conceived and planned with foresight so that the systems can be expanded and their conveying capacities increased without great effort if required. Lafarge Zementwerke GmbH has been working successfully with the system provider for many years. Commissioning is planned for mid-April 2021
