At this year's Seamless Middle East, Swisslog won in the Best Digital Transformation and Innovation Solution category for its SynQ Warehouse Management Software (WMS) application.

SynQ stands for Synchronized Intelligence and is a modular, service-oriented software platform for warehouse management and material flow orchestration. It offers the functions required to optimize warehouse processes. The software platform integrates intelligence into operations and optimizes the performance of a company's automated and manual warehouse equipment.

The Virtual Reality Training Manager was implemented to overcome the on-the-job training required for pickers in a warehouse environment. The training process was made virtual and utilized the operational functionality of Swisslog's SynQ WMS solution. The VR training solution allows end users to train the pickers in a virtual warehouse event before they get to the practical work.

Dr. Christian Baur, CEO, commented on the award: "We are honored to have been recognized by Seamless Middle East for our continuous product innovation and commitment to implementing future-proof automation solutions. Our goal is to help companies improve their performance in warehousing and distribution. Innovations that are put into practice are the backbone of our business. This is how we meet the dynamic requirements of today's omni-channel sales and distribution."

The Swisslog VR Training Manager application introduces a new approach to training CarryPick solutions that increases the efficiency of warehouse picking staff. CarryPick is an automated storage and picking system developed for multichannel intralogistics. It includes software solutions with improved algorithms to optimize the way items are allocated for storage and picking.

The Seamless Awards "honor excellence, recognizing companies and individuals who continually set standards of excellence and initiate the most innovative technological advances in the region," reports Swisslog.
