SEH Engineering inaugurates technology world

SEH Engineering has inaugurated its new SkyCube technology world in Ostrhauderfehn, East Frisia. Visitors and potential customers can experience conveyor technology such as the innovative Skyrail electric monorail system live. The free-standing cube - spread over two floors - has 450 square meters of floor space for offices and product presentations. In future, it will form the striking face of the Osrhauderfehn site, where SEH Engineering's Conveyor Systems division is based and employs 52 people out of a total of 82.

"Conveyor technology has to move. In the SkyCube, interested parties can experience our conveyor technology up close and get to know it in its full function," explains Carsten Schmidt. The Managing Director of SEH Engineering's Conveyor Systems division in Ostrhauderfehn is expecting customers from all over Germany and other European countries. These include Audi, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche and Volkswagen. For the project specialists and technical purchasers from these globally active companies, the SkyCube provides the perfect setting and ambience to find out first-hand about SEH's technical innovations. Carsten Schmidt is also focusing on representatives of small and medium-sized industrial companies, for whom recently developed products such as the highly efficient lightweight EMS Skyrail are also very attractive.

The company has grown steadily over the past few years and expanded its portfolio at the same time. At the same time, the need for space in the large factory hall increased. As a result, there was soon a shortage of space to test new system technology or demonstrate it to customers. This gave rise to the idea for the current SkyCube, for which SEH itself is responsible.

The topping-out ceremony for the building, which was completed in just a few months, was held in June. Due to the current supply chain problems, the interior work and the installation of the conveyor systems were delayed by a few weeks. However, all employees who are developing and testing new conveyor systems in the future technology and exhibition center can now look forward to the new building. In the conference and presentation room, they will find state-of-the-art digital and media technology to network online and exchange information via video link with colleagues who coordinate and implement customer projects on site. In this way, the building also functions as a "ThinkCube".

For Carsten Schmidt, the striking new building sends out a clear signal to strengthen the Ostrhauderfehn site, where the Conveyor Systems division employs 52 of its 82 employees. "Our long-term planning is based on Ostrhauderfehn. We have a lot in common with this location, including the numerous partner and supplier companies in the immediate vicinity, with whom we have been working well for a very long time," says the Managing Director. It is important to him to add: "Loyalty to the location also means that we rely on skilled workers from the region. As we continue to grow, we are constantly looking for staff - engineers, mechanical engineers, designers and technicians. With the SkyCube, we are now sending a very clear signal to the outside world that we are an attractive employer."
