Wayzim Technology: Narrow Belt Sorter
The Narrow Belt Sorter from Wayzim is a linear sorting system based on the cross-belt sorter philosophy, designed to efficiently handle a variety of package types with different sizes. The system has been nominated for materialfluss Product of the Year 2025 in Category 2: Conveying and Lifting Technology.
The Narrow Belt Sorter has a high system capacity of 9,000 pph and is capable of handling a wide range of goods and products, from parcel bags and large parcels to car tires and other shaped products.
The Narrow Belt Sorter therefore combines the advantages of cross-belt and shoe sorter systems without having to accept the disadvantages of each. It has bidirectional rotating carriers that serve as both a loading and a sorting unit. These carriers are strategically placed on a special main drive line that rotates continuously and ensures accurate and efficient sorting of the parcels. The vertical rotation and compact structure of the system are key features of the Narrow Belt Sorter. The small distance between the sorting carriers enables the simultaneous sorting of large and small parcels.
