Transitic Systems: Pelican pocket sorter system
The Pelican system, nominated in Category 2: Conveying and Lifting Technology, transports, buffers, sorts and sequences without accumulation pressure.
As the only system that can be used as a transformer, it combines innovation with efficiency. Thanks to its purely electrical technology, which completely dispenses with pneumatics, it reduces energy consumption by up to 50 %. At the same time, the more than 50 % reduction in the need for sensors not only makes it cheaper to purchase, but also significantly reduces the total cost of ownership (TCO). Pelican is therefore not only an economically attractive solution for large systems, but is also suitable for smaller applications with lower throughput - sustainable, versatile and cost-efficient and offers safe handling of goods thanks to its patented P&F accumulation conveyor, no accumulation pressure.
The pocket sorter system enables the handling of various logistics processes in one system, including B2B, B2C and returns. Thanks to its variable concept design, it can handle changing proportions of these processes. It is flexible, scalable and can be operated fully automatically. It is used in sectors such as e-commerce, retail, returns management, the automotive industry, electronics and CEP logistics.
