Gordon Riske heads the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association
The Executive Board of the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association has elected Gordon Riske as Chairman. Riske is CEO of the KION Group and takes over from Dr. Klaus-Dieter Rosenbach, who has held the position since 2017.
"Companies in the conveyor technology and intralogistics sectors are operating in an extremely dynamic environment: despite the geopolitical and global economic uncertainties, the digitalization of logistics and the rapid growth of e-commerce are opening up excellent future opportunities for companies in our industry. Conveyor technology and intralogistics are undoubtedly among the outstanding growth areas in mechanical engineering," says Riske.
Rosenbach is leaving Jungheinrich AG at the end of March 2020 and has already resigned from his VDMA position in this context. "I am pleased that I was able to actively contribute to the work and further development of the trade association over many years. In particular, I would like to thank the VDMA employees for their consistently excellent cooperation and support," says Dr. Klaus-Dieter Rosenbach, Chairman of the Board of the VDMA Materials Handling and Intralogistics Association, on his departure.
