Flexco: Optimized cleaning effect

The secondary stripper Y-Type is a new addition to the Flexco range. Depending on the application, Flexco can equip it with a food-grade polyurethane or carbide blade. It is suitable for normal loads. While a head scraper removes the coarse material, the Y-type takes care of the fine cleaning. This increases the cleaning effect of the conveyor belt scrapers, which in many cases can remove more than 90 percent of the carryback. The scraper is suitable for applications with belt speeds of up to three meters per second, for belt widths of 450 to 1,200 millimeters and at temperatures of minus 35 to 82 degrees Celsius. A tensioning system ensures optimum contact between the blade and the conveyor belt. An important step in preventing material loss is to correct the guidance of the conveyor belt. Flexco offers various belt centering systems for these cases. These detect any misalignment and realign the belt correctly. To this end, Flexco will be presenting the new PT Pro EZ belt centering station in Dortmund. The unique turning and tilting movement always guides the belt back into the correct position when it drifts. The centring station is suitable for light to medium applications and for reversible belts with belt widths of up to 1,200 millimetres. Conveyor system operators can also use PT Pro EZ for belts with worn or damaged edges. Thanks to the simple design of brackets and components, the station can be installed very quickly and easily. The special feature of PT Pro EZ is that the roller for the belt guide is already coated with polyurethane as standard.
