ebm-papst finds the infinite steering angle
At Logimat, ebm-papst will be presenting drive solutions for conveyor and storage technology. With the Argodrive, the Mulfingen-based company offers AGV manufacturers a drive for omnidirectional mobility.
Compared to other solutions that enable vehicles to be maneuvered in a planar fashion, the Argodrive does not require any compromises in terms of compactness. The drive-steering system (FLS) combines the propulsion, braking and steering functions in a single assembly. The unit consists of motors, a special gearbox, omnidirectional steering, sensors and industrial-grade, robust connector plugs. The infinite steering angle enables space-saving surface mobility at vehicle level. The drive solution can also be used for heavy loads and on inclines. With four Argodrive systems, users can move vehicles with a total weight of up to two tons.
