The Dematic Virtual Tech Tours use a digital platform and guided tour technology that allows participants to explore the technology centers in Grand Rapids, Michigan (USA) and Heusenstamm. The tours are designed to allow companies to familiarize themselves with Dematic's technology and solutions without the expense of travel and include integrated video conferencing. They also include 36 product and content videos and 46 360-degree panoramic photos.
"Seeing Dematic's technology in action is a critical part of the buying process for a typical customer, many of whom visit our locations in person. But it can be a challenge to bring an entire team to our locations for in-person visits," said Erin Dillard, Dematic Vice President, Marketing Communications. "Virtual tours of our technology centers offer the same quality as an in-person visit and are an important tool that allows us to conveniently showcase our technology to a wider range of potential customers."
Dominic Fischer, Dematic Manager Global Events and Sponsorship, added: "The virtual tech tours mark the beginning of a new era in customer experience, where audiences - both internal and external - can easily access what they need and what they may not have known in a fun way. In the future, these tours will provide insights into the most important brands in the market, offer multilingual support and include special features such as augmented reality and interactive showcase tools, making it not only an educational but also a very entertaining experience." To date, more than 200 trained tour guides (Dematic employees) have conducted over 110 tours in nine languages with more than 1,100 participants.
