Logimat 2022
Dematic turns trade fair stand into a customer experience
Dematic puts the customer and their requirements at the center of its trade fair presence. To this end, the intralogistics provider is making the stand at the trade fair "a true customer experience".
Under the motto "#bringiton", Dematic wants to show how they can use new material flow solutions to gain a competitive edge. Dematic will focus in particular on the current challenges facing customers in intralogistics and present itself as a partner. For an interactive trade fair experience, 15 different showcases will be available in which the innovations can be experienced live with the help of numerous tools and features such as 3D configurations, 360-degree tours or augmented reality applications. In this way, the specific and fully automated storage solutions can be visualized, tested and even controlled remotely on site.
"The customer experience is Dematic's top priority. Through continuous dialog with customers, we want to understand their requirements for the entire intralogistics value chain in order to strengthen their competitiveness in the long term with our innovative and tailored solutions," says Bernard Biolchini, Executive Vice President EMEA at Dematic. Dematic has identified the main challenges facing the industry as including overcoming staff shortages and a lack of space, achieving reliable delivery times in the face of a shortage of raw materials, planning reliability for project costs, changing consumer behaviour and further digitalization.
"Many framework conditions have changed, particularly in the past two years. This requires a new way of thinking and an even deeper understanding of our customers' needs. We are therefore particularly looking forward to LogiMAT 2022 and want to inspire our visitors with our new solutions, which we will present to them in an extraordinary way," says the head of the EMEA region, which was realigned at the beginning of the year to better meet local customer needs with Dematic's global experience.
Visitors to the two-storey Dematic stand B37 in Hall 1 can therefore not only obtain information and exchange ideas as usual, as Dr. Jens Hardenacke, Managing Director at Dematic DACH, emphasizes: "The special thing is that guests can not only see our solutions on product displays, but can also experience them live on site in an innovative form." This gives them the opportunity to first visualize their automation goals in 3D and then control them live. For example, they can use virtual reality goggles for remote machine maintenance. "I look forward to demonstrating in an interactive way how Dematic can support its customers on their automation journey from start to finish. With a wide range of advanced applications that offer both excellent technological options on the market and demonstrate our ability to meet the specific requirements of different industries," explains Hardenacke.
In addition to solutions for online retail, mixed case fulfillment, pallet storage and mobile automation, Dematic will also be presenting its new visual inspection service for intralogistics systems to the public for the first time at the trade fair, which greatly reduces the time and effort required for maintenance. With this service, regular safety checks and visual inspections can be carried out using drones. As part of this, Dematic will be conducting a live drone flight at the company headquarters in Heusenstamm at Logimat. Live remote support will also be demonstrated. Dematic will also be demonstrating the use of an interactive digital twin for predictive maintenance. "In conjunction with the digital twin, we also carry out a software health check, including interactive dashboards, digital showcases and VR applications. This allows us to reduce time and costs for the customer during maintenance," says Hardenacke.
