Temperature-controlled container solution
Lufthansa Cargo gives take-off permission for refrigerated containers
Lufthansa Cargo has approved the use of CSafe RAP refrigerated containers for transportation in its airline network. The active temperature-controlled container solutions are used for the transportation of pharmaceuticals.
With ThermoCor VIP insulation and a cooling and heating system, the CSafe RAP container reliably guarantees a preset cargo temperature throughout transportation, even in extreme ambient conditions (-30°C to +54°C). According to the company, this makes the container suitable for the widest temperature range in the industry.
Win-win situation: portfolio expanded, network utilized
Thorsten Braun, Senior Director of Industry Development & Product Management at Lufthansa Cargo, explains: "For me, this is a typical win-win situation. With CSafe RAP, we are expanding our unique portfolio of active reefer containers and at the same time intensifying our existing relationship with CSafe. In combination with our extensive global network, we offer our customers one of the leading reefer containers!"
Jeff Pepperworth, Chief Executive Officer of CSafe Global, said: "We are delighted that Lufthansa Cargo is now part of our large network of airline partners flying the CSafe RAP container. We are honored to deepen our relationship with Lufthansa Cargo and expand on our promise to protect what matters most to our pharmaceutical customers so that patients can receive what matters most to them."
