Lufthansa Cargo's Alexis von Hoensbroech moves to Austrian Airlines
Frankfurt, 20.042018 - Dorothea von Boxberg is to become the new Chief Product and Sales Officer of Lufthansa Cargo AG from August 1, 2018. The 44-year-old manager will succeed Dr. Alexis von Hoensbroech. The latter had been Head of Product and Sales since December 2014 and is to become the new CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board of Austrian Airlines from August 1, 2018. The respective Supervisory Boards still have to approve these proposals. As Vice President Global Sales Management at Lufthansa Cargo, Von Boxberg is currently responsible for Global Performance Management, Pricing, Airmail, Product Management and Sales Processes, among other things. An experienced and accomplished manager from the company's own ranks has thus been recruited as her successor.
"I am pleased to propose Dorothea von Boxberg to the Supervisory Board as successor to Alexis von Hoensbroech and thus Chief Commercial Officer of Lufthansa Cargo. Her extensive management experience in strategy, product development and sales is an ideal prerequisite for this task," says Harry Hohmeister, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Lufthansa Cargo. As Chief Commercial Officer of Lufthansa Cargo, Dorothea von Boxberg is responsible for the global external organization for sales and handling, revenue management, pricing, network planning and sales management.
Ms. von Boxberg studied industrial engineering at the TU Berlin and ESCP/EAP Paris. From 1999 to 2005, she worked for the management consultancy The Boston Consulting Group in Stuttgart, most recently as a project manager. In 2005, Dorothea von Boxberg moved to Star Alliance, where she was responsible for Alliance Development. In 2007 she joined Deutsche Lufthansa AG and from 2009 headed the "Strategy and Investments" division of Lufthansa Passenger Airlines. She then took on several management positions in product management at Lufthansa Passenger Airlines. In 2015, Ms. von Boxberg moved to Lufthansa Cargo and has been Head of Global Sales Management ever since. red
