Lufthansa Cargo transports 10 million roses for Valentine's Day

In order to meet the special import demand around Valentine's Day, Lufthansa Cargo transported a total of around 10 million roses on the Quito - Frankfurt, Bogota - Frankfurt and Nairobi - Frankfurt routes this year.

The import takes place over a period of around three weeks. Kenya, Bolivia and Ecuador offer ideal climatic growing conditions all year round and the best growing conditions - the roses usually start their journey in one of these three countries. The essential factor here is fast and careful transportation, which requires a constant
