Conveying on rails

The Bielefeld-based company Losyco is presenting the latest system enhancements to its Loxrail rail-based conveyor concept. The new developments include the latest version of the Allrounder steering platform with electrically controlled direction change.

The steering platform, designed for 15-ton loads, enables the transported goods to be turned and aligned on the rails without lifting the load. A battery-operated servomotor brings the wheelsets into the desired position. Another trade fair innovation on show will be the fully automatic Smartbrake brake module with sensor-supported obstacle detection. The sensor system causes the platform to stop automatically if people or objects block the path of travel. The step pattern is detected at the rear to activate the braking function as soon as there is no more pushing movement. At the trade fair stand, the Losyco team of experts will be providing information about the wide range of applications for the customer-specific configurable conveyor concept.
