The AutoStore Multi-Temperature Solution is designed for frozen and chilled products that need to be stored in a temperature range from -25 °C to +6 °C. All items are picked at the ports in the refrigerated area, providing a more pleasant working environment for handling frozen products. Here, employees are protected from extreme cold and can therefore wear less thick and more comfortable protective clothing. The AutoStore robots designed for use in the fresh food area also carry out all orders in the frozen food area.
The combination of different temperature zones in one system reduces both investment costs and energy consumption. The AutoStore robots are loaded in the cooled area at +2 to +6 °C.
