Material Flow Congress 2020 postponed to July
After the LogiMAT trade fair, the traditional Material Flow Congress has now also been hit: the VDI Knowledge Forum event planned for March 19 and 20 in Garching near Munich has been canceled and a new date has been found. It remains to be seen whether this will be convenient - the Material Flow Congress will now take place one week before the Hannover Messe.
The postponement was then announced on the evening of March 9.

So wrote the organizers:
"Following in-depth consultation and assessment of the current developments surrounding Covid-19 (coronavirus), the VDI Wissensforum has decided to postpone the Material Flow Congress. The event will take place on July 8 - 9 in Munich. The safety of guests, exhibitors, partners and employees is the company's top priority.
Due to the dynamically developing situation, the VDI Wissensforum believes that the situation can only be handled safely with the decision that has now been made. The health and safety of all guests, employees and participants has absolute priority.
In addition, numerous companies have decided to impose travel bans on their staff. The VDI Wissensforum expressly supports these decisions in order to break potential chains of infection. As a logical consequence, however, these protective measures have resulted in an above-average number of cancellations on the part of our participants, exhibitors and speakers. As a result, we can no longer guarantee the usual high quality of our events. All tickets sold to date remain valid and can be rebooked free of charge.
