The new system aims to set new standards in the measurement of logistical objects through scalable resolutions, continuous valid scans and simple integration. The company emphasizes that this data is the key to efficiency, as it shows how previously untapped potential can be leveraged and processes optimized.

AKL-tec has been developing systems for freight measurement with a focus on automated dimensioning and the handling of shipping documents for around 30 years. The measurement systems are used by logistics companies such as parcel services, mail order companies, air freight and freight forwarders. Freight measurement is an important component for customer billing as well as for the loading capacities of vehicles, airplanes and ships. Depending on the measuring system, the space requirements and weight of the packages can be determined.
