Gentle material handling
Westfalia will be showcasing efficient technologies for warehouse automation in the packaging industry, among others.
This includes space-saving raw material and paper roll storage, automated intermediate storage for format goods in production supply as well as automated finished goods storage for logistics bundling and automated truck route provisioning. The focus is on the gentle handling of format and finished goods and the compact storage of bulky, heavy goods with and without load carriers. In many industries such as food, beverages, packaging or corrugated board with large and heavy batches and a medium variety of types, many of which do not have to be stored and retrieved according to the FIFO principle, Westfalia's multi-deep compact storage systems have proven their worth for decades; flexibility and a high degree of space utilization are among the advantages.
