expopharm 2022: Knapp presents innovations for the pharmacy sector
Knapp Smart Solutions GmbH will be presenting its Apostore brand automation technologies at expopharm in Munich from September 14 to 17.
At Europe's largest trade fair for the pharmaceutical industry, the company will be focusing on its most powerful automated order picking system, the A3000, and the 24/7 terminal for autonomous goods distribution. Both systems are compatible with each other and can be expanded. Visitors can experience the Gelsenkirchen-based company's innovations for the healthcare sector at stand A14 in hall B1.
"Online retail is creating increasing demands in terms of product availability and individual customer needs. Local pharmacies are also noticing this. At expopharm, we are presenting our solutions to keep stationary retail competitive," says Christopher Thielen, Managing Director of Knapp Smart Solutions GmbH. Knapp will be demonstrating the A3000 semi-automatic and fully automatic picking machine and the 24/7 terminal at its stand.
The A3000 is a high-performance storage system designed for large pharmacies with high order volumes. It has a loading capacity of up to 40,000 packs, 550 of which can be stored and retrieved in parallel per hour thanks to a modern two-gripper system. The expandable counterpart to this is the 24/7 terminal, which provides self-sufficient and flexible goods distribution outside regular opening hours with functions such as digital customer advice or click & collect. "Both solutions are part of our Smart Pharmacy model, with which we are creating a high degree of automation. This allows pharmacies to offer their customers decisive added value when purchasing medical products and medicines," says Thielen. Trade fair visitors can get an impression of the automation solutions from the Apostore brand at the Knapp Smart Solutions stand (A14) in Hall B1.
