Digitalization activities bundled in the Krones ecosystem
In the spirit of a system supplier, Krones is now bringing the areas of mechanical engineering and digitalization even closer together: In future, customers will receive both from a single source - from Krones.
From now on, the threads will come together in the Krones Ecosystem: This spans all of the Group's new machines like an invisible dome and connects them at data level. The line and production data collected in this way provide the basis for the use of existing cloud services and, in future, other digital solutions from Krones.
Central IIoT platform and Krones.world
As a first concrete step, the existing IIoT platform will be located at Krones in future. It is the central, first component of the new Krones.world portal, which in future will provide customers with centralized access to digital Krones solutions. If a beverage producer logs into his Krones.world in future, he will not only be able to access all available cloud services from there, but will also be able to find other digital offerings from the Group directly, such as the Krones.store. In the long term, all of the Group's digital solutions are to be bundled centrally in Krones.world.
Syskron remains the technical enabler behind Krones.world and the associated services: as a digitalization specialist, the Krones subsidiary continues to operate as an independent company within the Group. Krones is the first point of contact for customers and the overarching partner for all digitalization issues. This means that beverage producers will in future receive both innovative machine technology and the appropriate digital solutions from a central point of contact.
Better TCO thanks to Krones Ecosystem
Registering with the IIoT platform is the first step into the world of the Krones ecosystem. The full added value of Krones' digitalization offering is available to those customers who use not just one, but several digital applications. By putting together their own individual digitalization package from various cloud services and other solutions, line operators can, for example, reduce downtimes, save resources or achieve savings in running costs - and thus also in TCO.
