TECVERSUM, formerly connect-ec, will then start for the sixth time - this year as a purely virtual event in a high-tech environment due to the coronavirus. Organized by the renowned telecommunications trade magazine connect, published by WEKA MEDIA PUBLISHING, TECVERSUM is aimed at trade visitors, experts and interested end users. Top-class speakers, including Mallik Rao, Chief Technology & Information Officer of Telefónica Deutschland Holding AG, Dr. Bruno Jacobfeuerborn, CEO of DFMG Deutsche Funkturm GmbH, Hakan Ekmen, CEO Telecommunication of umlaut AG and Ralf Gerbershagen, founder and CEO of Stadtsysteme, will talk about topics such as the new 5G mobile communications standard, e-mobility, smart homes and robotics and share best-practice experiences. Highlights include insights into developments during the coronavirus crisis as well as the results of the first global fixed network benchmark and the first global 5G benchmark - these will be presented exclusively at the conference. The "Breakthrough Award" start-up competition will be presented on October 29.

Dirk Waasen, Publishing Director of WEKA MEDIA PUBLISHING GmbH, explains: "We aim to be a first mover, always at the forefront of technological development - with world-leading test procedures and exclusive insights. TECVERSUM is the first telecommunications conference to address the impact of corona on telecommunications developments and present the world's first global 5G benchmark. We very much regret that this will not take place live in our partner city Dresden this year. With BMW Welt, we are ensuring that our first virtual event of this kind will take place in a high-tech environment that is more than state of the art."

The virtual conference will be streamed live from BMW Welt in Munich from October 29 to 30. Renowned providers from the mobile communications and telecommunications industry will be presenting their innovative technologies and products at the virtual trade fair from October 27 to November 2. The editorial teams of connect and PC Magazin, the central test lab and the specialist institute for technology topics will also be presenting their own virtual trade fair stands. There will be product tests, podcasts and practice-oriented workshops, for example.

And there will also be plenty of networking opportunities this year. Dialogue with experts and manufacturers as well as exchanges between participants will take place via the central lobby in a virtual lounge and via chat at the exhibitors' stands. Participation in the trade fair is free of charge, the only requirements are Internet access and a browser. Participation in the conference costs EUR 249; participants will receive all of the speakers' presentations. More information at www.tecversum.com.
