40 new trainees welcomed
Career start at the SSI Schaefer Group in Germany
A total of 40 trainees and dual students in the industrial, technical and commercial areas as well as in IT started the new training year at five locations of the SSI Schaefer Group in Germany.
The prospective mechatronics technicians, electronics technicians, machine and plant operators, production mechanics, construction mechanics, warehouse specialists, technical product designers, IT specialists, industrial clerks and Bachelor of Arts/Science students in the fields of IT, business administration and technology were able to get to know the work at the intralogistics expert in the first few days and weeks.
The trainees and students were welcomed by their trainers, the works council and the youth and trainee representatives (JAV). This was followed over the course of the induction week at the various locations by activities such as team events, for example the "trainee get-to-know-you days", guided tours of the technology center, plant tours, a visit to the main site in Neunkirchen and an interview round with the HR manager. This enabled the trainees to get to know each other across all training programs and establish initial networks.
"We are delighted to welcome so many new career starters. They form the foundation for the future of SSI Schaefer and drive forward our innovative concepts and solutions for intralogistics," says Anne Klanke, CHRO of the SSI Schaefer Group. "In order to make the start at SSI Schaefer exciting and instructive, we want to introduce the topics of teamwork, communication, motivation and creativity through various activities in the first few weeks and thus prepare them for their training in the best possible way. It is particularly important to us to promote cooperation and networking across locations and departments."
