AMI conveyor and storage technology: Automating dispatch areas to meet requirements
The rapid increase in online orders, which has increased significantly again during the pandemic, has brought the importance and technology of shipping lines and packing lines increasingly into the focus of e-commerce, retail and industrial companies.
AMI Förder- und Lagertechnik will be demonstrating how shipping and packaging areas can be efficiently designed with the right degree of automation for the respective requirements. With the system at the trade fair, the solution provider is demonstrating how manual activities, such as preparing folding cartons on packing tables and inserting goods into the cartons, can be efficiently combined with downstream automated conveyor technology. Components and subsystems integrated into the system, including a carton sealer, a weighing cell, a labeling station and a carton strapper, highlight the networked interaction of these individual systems - via the higher-level software system - for the overall efficiency of the packaging process.
