Thanks to the collaboration, Krone claims to be the first trailer manufacturer to be able to provide real-time ETA (estimated time of arrival) forecasts as part of its Krone Telematics solution. This gives customers access to particularly precise and reliable ETA forecasts. These are based on a proprietary and industry-leading algorithm developed by Shippeo, which draws on over 200 data parameters. "There is a growing demand for trailers with built-in ETA forecasting functionality to manage transports more effectively," says Dr. Stefan Binnewies, COO of Krone, and adds: "Krone trailers are state of the art. We are now expanding our portfolio to include further first-class digital services. Our trailers are being prepared for the digital requirements of shippers. We want to continue to offer the leading solutions on the market. Shippeo's ETA is the most accurate and reliable on the market."

Shippeo plans to integrate Krone Telematics' temperature data into its platform so that all active users can monitor both delivery status and shipment integrity in real time from a single portal. "Today, many logistics companies still rely on a paper-based system where drivers have to prove that the cold chain has complied with strict regulations throughout the transport," says Lucien Besse, COO of Shippeo, "With real-time temperature monitoring, user-defined customers are notified as soon as temperature changes become apparent. In this way, potential exceedances of maximum temperatures can be avoided and electronic delivery documentation made possible."
