Kögel equips vehicle fleet
Fifteen deep-freeze trailers for the Westfleisch Group
Wetralog has expanded its fleet with fifteen Kögel refrigerated semi-trailers. The company has been an independent food logistics company of the Westfleisch Group since 2003. The equipment of the new vehicles is adapted to the needs of the specialist and wholesale trade.
The forwarding company is responsible for the entire logistics of the Westfleisch Group. The focus of its work is on empties logistics, livestock transportation and plant transport for the individual Westfleisch locations. The new deep-freeze trailers are mainly used to transport meat for the specialist and wholesale trade.
Kögel focuses on the customer when it comes to the equipment and scope of delivery of its vehicles. The company is one of the leading trailer manufacturers in Europe. Since its foundation in 1934, the company has manufactured more than 550,000 vehicles.
For example, the new vehicles enable low-noise loading and unloading thanks to aluminum floors. Welded aluminum trays in the floor area improve hygiene and make cleaning easier. The floor pans also prevent moisture from penetrating, which increases the service life and efficiency of the trailers.
Additional protective walls made of aluminum profiles protect the goods. As these can be removed, the cleaning effort is reduced.
The Kögel Telematics software records data such as the position in real time, the coupling status and the room temperature and transmits this to a web portal. Wetralog can access this data in real time and import it into existing processes and software systems.
