New model presented
Iveco presents the new Daily
Iveco presented the new Daily at a two-day event in Turin. This is intended to set standards in terms of on-board comfort and driving experience and address megatrends such as digitalization, automation, electrification and servitization.
The Daily is the first vehicle in its segment to meet the Euro 6D/Temp emission standards. The Daily can look back on a history of over 40 years. The new model introduces a whole range of driver assistance systems that allow the driver to concentrate on the essentials and increase his safety. The systems place a particular focus on use in urban traffic.
Preventing collisions with assistance systems
The AEBS emergency braking system with City Brake Pro is designed to prevent collisions at speeds below 50 km/h and mitigate the impact at higher speeds. The Queue Assist function supports the driver in heavy traffic by monitoring the vehicle in front, thus reducing the stress factor. The new Daily is the first 7.2 tonne vehicle with Queue Assist and City Brake Pro.
"Addressing important trends"
Gerrit Marx, President Commercial and Specialty Vehicles: "We have a clear roadmap for the future, a strategic vision that addresses the most important trends in our industry. Iveco will survive, compete and win in all segments in which we operate today - from light to heavy trucks to buses and specialty vehicles. The New Daily represents our vision perfectly: with a revolutionary evolution, it stays true to its heritage, meets today's higher customer demands and is already equipped for future advances. It will change the way you do business."
Two engine variants for more flexibility
The Daily is available with two special commercial vehicle engines for the right power for every application. The first variant, the 2.3-liter F1A engine, is now available in LDV and HDV homologation with a rated output of between 116 and 156 hp. In the heavy-duty transport segment, Iveco offers the Daily with a 3.0-liter F1C engine with improved performance between 160 and 210 hp, as well as in a Natural Power version (CNG drive).
