Terberg Spezialfahrzeuge pushes ahead with expansion in the DACH region
With the purchase of a property in Ulm, Terberg Spezialfahrzeuge has laid a further foundation stone for its growth. In future, Terberg Spezialfahrzeuge, Terberg Kinglifter and HS-Fahrzeugbau will work together under one roof.
"We want to further expand our customer proximity in the southern D-A-CH region and thus increase our response times and service readiness," commented Arno Ortlieb, Managing Director of Terberg Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH, on the purchase. The German subsidiary of the Dutch Royal Terberg Group was able to complete the real estate purchase on April 27 to coincide with King's Day in the Netherlands.
The keys were handed over at the beginning of July. Together with the truck-mounted forklift sales and service partner Terberg Kinglifter and the specialist for state-of-the-art waste disposal vehicles HS Fahrzeugbau, Terberg Spezialfahrzeuge will be able to operate under one roof at the Ulm site in future. The new property in Ulm-Elchingen is located directly at the A7/A8 freeway junction and is intended to reduce transport routes for rental vehicles and act as a new service center for trucks, truck-mounted forklifts and waste disposal vehicles. The new location is expected to open in December of this year.
Terberg Spezialfahrzeuge GmbH, headquartered in Hamburg, is a subsidiary of the Dutch family-owned company Terberg. The company was founded in 1869 in Benschop, NL, and is still entirely family-owned. Today, the Royal Terberg Group comprises a number of operating companies that serve various parts of the vehicle-related market. These robust vehicles are active in ports, distribution centers, heavy industry, tunnel construction areas, marshalling yards and airports in over 130 countries. Terberg Spezialfahrzeuge is responsible for the distribution of vehicles manufactured in the Netherlands for the D-A-CH region. The portfolio also includes spare parts and accessories as well as a comprehensive repair and rental service for vehicles and the brokerage of used vehicles.
