DKV toll boxes soon to be accepted on Italian freeways

Autostrade per l'Italia S.p.A., the operator of the largest freeway network in Italy, has signed a contract for digital toll billing by DKV BOX Italia for trucks over 3.5 tons. The contract confirms DKV Euro Service as a service provider certified by the Italian Association of Highway and Tunnel Operators (AISCAT).

With a road network of over 3,000 kilometers, Autostrade per l'Italia operates more than half of the toll freeways in Italy. The DKV Box Europe is also due to be approved in the near future.

"This is an important milestone in the history of our company," says Jérôme Lejeune, Managing Director Toll at DKV Euro Service. "We are very pleased that, thanks to Autostrade per l'Italia, we have taken an enormously important first step towards being able to offer our customers a dedicated box for billing Italian tolls for trucks over 3.5 tons."
